Blog #3- Apps

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to give you all some advice on how to maybe track what you are doing to help give some motivation. If you have an Iphone or an Android, you can download apps such as MyFitness Pal, or if you have a smartwatch with applications on it for working out, any of these can help. I have an Apple Watch and this is how I keep up with my workouts. It really helps motivate me so that I can see how many calories I am burning in a workout. I also keep up with what I eat on the MyFitnessPal app, to see how many calories I am intaking, and how many I am exerting. This helps me keep up with myself, and also helps motivate me to do better in the weight room and in the kitchen. I want to encourage everyone because sometimes we are really hard on ourselves with missing a day of the gym, or eating a bad meal. One good meal won’t make you fat, just like one good meal doesn’t make you skinny. Missing the gym once won’t set you back just like going once doesn’t always put you exactly where you want to be. Be easier on yourself, be more forgiving to yourself. Have a great day!

Blog #2- Nutrition

Hello Again!

This week I wanted to touch on some nutrition to help you guys out. Many people focus solely on the gym, or solely on the nutrition side of becoming healthier. I Just wanted to encourage everyone on here that each of these go hand in hand together. When beginning your journey, remember that this is a commitment in every aspect. Eating healthier and making better eating choices can be very tough and tempting to go back to the bad habits. I encourage everyone to watch the sugars that you eat in your foods. Many people obsess over the carbs, sodium, calories, or just one thing that can be harmful. In reality, it is all tied together and can all be harmful to you in the end. drink lots of water and stay as healthy in your eating as you can be. Hope to hear from some of you guys soon with any recommendations or questions. Have a safe night or day!

Blog #1- Fitness

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to come on here and give everyone a little bit of tips for this week when it comes to Fitness and being healthy in this department. It only takes 30 minutes a day of physical exercise can keep you healthy and losing weight! Think about how many times a day you sit on your phone for about 30 minutes on average? This happens about every single day. Instead of being on your phone, try going to the gym and just walking on the treadmill. As we all know, gym memberships can be outrageously expensive which is very frustrating. If you are unable to purchase a gym membership, you can always try going on a walk outside. I always tell my clients that any exercise is better than no exercise at all. There is no bad that can come out of getting physical activity. This will help your heart, and also your health as a whole. With all this being said, my challenge for everyone reading this is to put your phone down. Put down your lap top. Put down anything that can be a distraction for you receiving the exercise you need. Just put. it. down. Go outside, go to the gym, walk on a track, go for a run. Do whatever you are ABLE to do. Once you see exercise as not being a punishment, but instead a privilege, you will often begin to believe more in yourself. Thank you guys for reading this, I will be posting again tomorrow with some information on mental wellness! Y’all have an amazing Friday!
